Our Background
Established in 2016, Purpose-filled Outreach Empowering Teens Inspiring Creativity (P.O.E.T.I.C.) is a nonprofit organization that has been providing mentoring programs for middle and high school youth in Wisconsin and has since expanded to Georgia in 2019. The program will form partnerships with local school districts and parents/guardians. P.O.E.T.I.C.'s goal is to create a space for young people that will promote strong interpersonal skills and reaffirm a sense of hope in the future. Mentoring relationships help provide youth with a sense of stability, consistency, and gives them the desire to stay committed to a moral path to adulthood with a sense of achievement.
P.O.E.T.I.C. is an organization that is determined to reach the youth that is either falling through the cracks at school or are already entangled with the juvenile court system. As well as youth that show promising outcomes and empower them to be peer motivators.
