Our Background
Founded in 2016, Purpose-filled Outreach Empowering Teens Inspiring Creativity (P.O.E.T.I.C.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering middle and high school youth through mentorship, leadership development, and creative expression.
Originally established in Wisconsin, P.O.E.T.I.C. expanded its services to Georgia in 2019, continuing its mission to support and inspire young people through meaningful programming and community partnerships.
P.O.E.T.I.C. collaborates with local schools, families, and community stakeholders to create safe and supportive spaces where youth can develop strong interpersonal skills, build confidence, and gain hope for their future. Through positive mentoring relationships, participants receive guidance, consistency, and encouragement that help them navigate challenges and stay committed to healthy, productive pathways toward adulthood.
The organization is especially committed to reaching youth who may be underserved, at risk of falling behind academically, or impacted by involvement with the juvenile justice system.
At the same time, P.O.E.T.I.C. works to identify and empower youth with leadership potential, encouraging them to become positive peer influences and changemakers within their communities.
